Biyadhoo is a good value, established resort with a wonderful natural environment. It’s the reason many guests return to the resort year after year. Many of the resort facilities have recently been improved, including the rooms and public areas such as the reception, restaurant and bar. There is also free Wi-Fi and twice-weekly snorkelling trips.
Rooms are in two-storey blocks, close to the water’s edge. They are fairly basic but perfectly adequate. Each room has a balcony or terrace leading to the beach.
The resort’s air-conditioned restaurant, Palm, offers buffets and set menus with international cuisine. The al fresco Coconut Bar has a relaxed atmosphere and becomes the island’s hub in the evening, often featuring entertainment too.
The island is a haven for divers, with a wealth of top dive sites nearby. The renowned PADI dive school is particularly popular, with excellent instructors on-hand to advise which of the varied dive sites are best suited to your ability. If you would like to take part in snorkelling, the fabulous house reef offers the opportunity to get up-close with reef sharks, rays and turtles. There’s also a main stretch of beach plus several smaller beaches around the island, if you’d prefer to sit back and relax.
